SIG FAQ


1. What are the eligibility criteria to enrol in the SIG Jewelry Design course?

NO eligibility criteria, only you have to have determination?

2. I do not have a background in the gem and jewellery industry.

We focus on teaching from imagination level regardless of whether you have a gem and jewellery industry connection or not. Many of our students do not have any background in the industry but they have successfully completed the program and have flourished either by starting their own ventures or working for established names in the industry.

3. Is this programme right for me?

The Jewelry Design course helps you prepare in turning your inspirations into designs. You’ll learn drafting, shading, design theory, how to illustrate shape and form using several mediums, and more. After completion of the Jewelry Design course opens up numerous avenues to explore as career paths including jewellery designer, hand renderer, sales associate, technical designer, jewellery business owner, and more.

4. My drawing skills are not great, but I’m keen to take up jewellery designing. Will I still be able to learn design?

Yes. We cover basics like drawing a line and advance towards drawing and rendering complex forms of jewellery pieces.

5. Does SIG offer placements for students who have successfully completed the course?

SIG provides 100% placement assistance to the students in finding suitable industry placements. Companies from the gem and jewellery industry interested in recruiting our students. Similarly, interested students also connect with us for support in finding suitable job profiles. Common enquiries are for diamond graders, gemmologists, jewellery designers, and sales and marketing professionals.

6. What is the class duration?

MONDAY – SATURDAY 11.00pm- 2.00 pm / 2.30pm-5.30pm
